After six years in the U.S Army as a pediatric medic, I exited the military & traveled to Montana state to be with a boy. Unfortunately this situation did not work out in my favor & the relationship ended on Christmas Eve due to Domestic Violence. I packed what I could, & my daughter, my dog, my two cats & I drove 2,300 miles to Florida to escape this situation; leaving everything behind. 

When I arrived to Florida, I stated with family & began to bake as a means to distract myself. I found that not only did I enjoy doing it, but I was quite good at it. Since then, I have done multiple pop-up shops at markets, custom orders, & more.

Our mission at Beyond Happy Bakery is to donate $5 for every $50 spent on our products to women's shelters, & to one day be able to open a brick & mortar bakery where we can work with these women's shelters to hire people & help them get back on their feet.
